Final race night of the year is one of the wildest for MC Motorsports; Daniel Mosteller returns
December 22nd, 2023 | 5:26 PM CT
NR Night in America will have their final streamed night of the year tonight. What is just a nice little schedule will be one of the wildest nights for MC Motorsports of the year. The NR Night in America schedule has 2024 Next Gen Schemes @ Daytona, Xfinity @ Sebring, COT @ Talladega, and Trucks @ Myrtle Beach.
There will be no MC Motorsports cars in Race 1. But, Daniel Mosteller has been resigned to MC Motorsports on a 1-race deal to drive the #87 Chevrolet Camaro at Sebring in an effort to get MC Motorsports their 2nd and maybe final NR win of the year. This will mark the first time Sebring is ran in NR Night in America

While this is going on, Marty Cmejla will be racing in ASPHALT MEDIA, staring at 7 PM ET with Next Gens at Michigan. Today at 9:30 AM CT, Marty Cmejla went under Wisdom Teeth Removal Surgery, and had an 80% chance of missing tonight's events. Doctors claimed that Cmejla's "teeth were not out of place too much, and there was no bone on them, so they weren't fused into any bones, so they could be plucked out easily."
Cmejla was put to sleep during the surgery and woke up righ away as you would just going to sleep any other time, to all 4 of his Wisdom Teeth out. He would struggle with controlling the large-blood amounts, but was able to get it solved. At 12:00 PM CT he took some painkiller pills and claimed that he felt "100% at one point in the afternoon". He communicated with MC Motorsports' team doctors and they decided that he was cleared to race in tonight's racing events.
Press statement released to the public at 3:33 PM CT today.
ASPHALT MEDIA heads to Michigan with the Next Gens for Race 1, Xfinity Cars at Las Vegas for Race 2, and finally Street Stock's make their return at Kansas Speedway for Race 3. After this, Cmejla hopes to hop right into NR Night in America's Round 3 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Cmejla plans on racing with glasses on for tonight's events. Cmejla wears contact lenses on a daily basis. The surgery earlier today required that he wears his glasses during the surgery. Cmejla says that "he doesn't feel like putting his contact lenses back in."
The last time Cmejla raced with glasses during NR Night in America was way back over a year ago on July 22nd, 2022 with ironically, the COT, at this time Atlanta Motor Speedway (SS version). Cmejla finished 14th and it was his 4th NR Night in America race ever. Back then, his glasses prescription did not match up with his contact prescription, but this issue has since been resolved.
Cmejla driving his 4th career NR Night race at Atlanta with the COT, the last time he raced in NR Night with glasses equipped instead of contact lenses.
Cmejla hopes to end the year off strong. Daniel Mosteller, NR Night in America hall-of-famer and the greatest road course driver of NR Night in America's time (statistically), has a really good chance at winning Race 2. Mosteller's first race with MC Motorsports was at Monza Grand Prix Road Course. Mosteller was in position to win but during green-flag pit stops, he got wrecked by a lap car and ultimately lost his speed, but still got 3rd showing how good he truly is. Mosteller says "I want REDEMPTION."
Cmejla has had a successful tenure with the newly-updated COT cars. In the iRacing Draft Master - Fixed Series, he he finished Top 3 in all 8 races he participated in at Daytona this week, each one electing not to qualify. There was one point where he won 3 times in a row. He understands the COT really well and might be able to pull something off for his last race of the year. Patrick Connell, is questionable to race COT Talladega, but he might.
ASPHALT MEDIA though, it is not 100% certain that tonight is their last stream of the year, but it could be. Cmejla does hope to end the potential ASPHALT MEDIA part of the year off with strong runs at tracks he has done good before in. With Street Stock Kansas, Cmejla has finished 1st and 2nd. Emma Akin and Bradley Cmejla will not participate in any events tonight.
